bop!

Project brief for end of term - i.e. Christmas

Design and produce a 24 page a3/a4 magazine. It must include some of the following elements:

One or more photographic shoots
One article of at least 1000 words
Two smaller articles of between 250-500 words
An editor's letter
A contents page
A shopping page
A news page
Advertising
......

You can choose any subject you like- but you must put a consumer spin on it.

BOP!
Bop! is the official [hah! The joy of this course is making shit up] magazine of UK Swing/Lindy Hop/Jive/Rock 'n' Roll... throw in some rockabilly maybe?

So far articles are going to include;
- a Guardian rip off, Six [or ten] Of The Best...Skirts [or dresses, undecided still]
- Fashion reports - swing on the catwalk!
- Music and book reviews - roping in assistants here. Tony [step-dad] was a huge big band/swing fan the first time round, and is reviewing some of his vintage vinyl!
- Events listings for dances etc.

aaaaand!
An interview with the Puppini Sisters!
They're super nice and agreed to help me out! I love you ladies!

Feature on Ace Cafe?
Hopefully an interview with the people in charge at the London Swing Dance Society - they should also be helping me out with what content would be interesting
Something frm Muffy's!

And last, but by no means least, on Monday we are going to

30th Oct Ronnie Scotts Rejects
Trick or Treat Halloween Party
Hear the beat of exotic voodoo rituals, smell the scorching ivory & experience a spine tingling boogie serenade. For a fiendishly ghoulish experience come appropriately attired in Red & Black..

... which is organised by the LSDS, so I'm gonna take a bunch of photos and interview the people there, as well as having an awesome old time and, of course, a dance!
